George E. Hawley, 78, Clinton

George E. Hawley, 78, of Clinton, died June 25 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was born March 2, 1935 to the late Sherman and Mildred Hawley of Guilford.

George worked various jobs along the shoreline. He was married to Laura (Goodale) Hawley and they resided in Clinton for much of their married lives, she predeceased him in 2002.

George is survived by his three daughters and their families. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son George Hawley, Jr.

Funeral services were held privately. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Seaside Saybrook-Special Olympics, c/o R. Sorey, 23 Stony Brook Drive, East Haddam, CT. 06423.
