Arnold Stanio, 78, East Haven
Arnold Stanio, 78, of East Haven, died Sept. 27 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1935 in New Haven to Fred and Raffie (DeRosa) Stanio.
Arnold was a United States Army veteran and worked with the Army Corp of Engineers. He retired after 47 years of service with Abbott Printing. He was a gifted craftsman, and enjoyed working around the house and in his garage.
Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Ardythe (Erwin) Stanio; his son Arnold Stanio of Las Vegas; four granddaughters, Arika, Emily, Rachelle and Sydney Stanio; two brothers, Raymond Stanio and his wife Sylvia of Enfield and Sal Stanio of New Haven; and two sisters, Terry Massaro of Arizona and Phyllis Phillips and her husband Bob of South Carolina. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Donald and Fred Stanio.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Clare Church, Coe Ave., East Haven, followed by burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven is in charge of arrangements.
