    Olive Fappiano, 76, Madison

    Olive Fappiano, 76, of Madison, beloved wife of Anthony Paul Fappiano, MD, died peacefully Sept. 26 at Madison House with family by her side after a brief illness. Olive was born Oct. 29, 1936 in Dublin, Ireland to the late Mae (Moylan) and Joseph Boyle of Glasnevin, Ireland.

    Olive worked in the chest clinic at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

    She was a lifelong resident of Madison, and a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church. Olive was a devoted, loving wife and mother who cherished time spent with family. She was light-hearted and had a gentle nature and a great sense of humor. She was also an avid animal lover. She will be dearly missed.

    Olive’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Madison House and Connecticut Hospice for their wonderful care, and to Friends for their many acts of kindness and support during her illness.

    In addition to her husband, Anthony, she is survived by her daughter Susan. Olive was predeceased by her parents; and her brother Leo Boyle.

    A funeral mass was held Sept. 30 in St. Margaret’s Church, Madison, followed by burial in West Cemetery, Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Swan Funeral Home, Clinton, was in charge of arrangements.
