    Anna F. Fraulo, 86, Hamden, formerly of East Haven

    Anna F. Fraulo, 86, of Hamden, formerly of East Haven, died Sept. 16 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1927 in New Haven to the late Joseph and Trofimena D’Urso Fraulo. Anna worked for the City of New Haven Board of Education for 35 years as a science teacher, and then department head, until her retirement.

    She earned awards for her written work in science and as a teacher- administrator. After retirement she became certified as a travel agent and spent much time traveling all around the world. Anna also generously donated her time to several worthwhile causes, including Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic, the Hospital of St. Raphael, Shubert Theatre, and the Peabody Museum.

    She is survived by two cousins, Carmen and his wife Anne Fraulo of New Haven and Annette Fraulo of Branford, who was more like a sister to Anna.  She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Fraulo.

    A funeral mass was held Sept. 20, with burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
