    James J. Bougie, 60, Manchester

    James J. Bougie, 60, of Manchester, beloved husband of Alicia Bougie since 1983, died peacefully Oct. 23 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 7, 1953 in Washington, DC to Louis and the late Margaret Bougie.

    Jim graduated from The Morgan School in Clinton in 1971 and then from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. He was a longtime resident of Glastonbury who moved to Manchester in 2000.

    Jim was employed by Edward Jones Investments in Glastonbury for 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church, and active in Glastonbury Rotary Club and Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce. He was a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and playing with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

    In addition to his wife of 30 years, Jim is survived by his son Justin Wagner and his wife Annmarie of East Hampton; brother Steven Bougie of New Hampshire; sisters Jane Martini of Old Lyme and Suzanne Kurylo and her husband Dana of Winchendon, Massachusetts; four grandsons, Joshua Charles, Andrew James, Evan Louis, and Caleb Michael; nephew Jeffrey Martini; nieces Lane Kurylo and Lindsay Martini; and many dear friends.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester. Please meet at the church. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpk., Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to: CT Children’s Medical Center “Child Life Fund,” which provides toys, games, and support for families, 282 Washington St. Hartford, CT 06106 or St. Bridget Church, Manchester, CT.
