Charles William Otte, 91, of North Guilford, died Oct. 25 in Madison. He was born Aug. 16, 1922 in Durham to the late Carl and Ellen Otte. He served as a surgical technician in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

In 1948 he married Priscilla Fowler of North Guilford and spent the remainder of his life in the town. He worked as a carpenter until his retirement, and in his spare time he enjoyed farming and caring for his animals. 

He is survived by his four children, Patty Ellen Draghi and her husband Paul of Windsor Locks, Charles W. Otte, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Fruitland, Idaho, John Fowler Otte and his wife Patricia of Guilford, and Janet Rusconi and her husband James of North Guilford; and six grandchildren, Jeremy, Shannon, Thomas, Christopher, James, and Dana. He was predeceased by his wife and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the North Guilford Congregational Church, 159 Ledge Hill Rd, Guilford. Burial will be held privately.
