Richard J. Waligroski, 73, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Guilford, husband of the late Rosemary G. Baldassare Waligroski, died Oct. 14 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born Aug. 7, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late John and Helen Karbasz Waligroski. 

Richard worked as a technical specialist for IBM for 30 years until his retirement in 1993. After leaving IBM he went to work at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. 

He is survived by his son John Waligroski and his wife Kim of Northford; two daughters, Nita Gray of Punta Gorda, Florida and Justine Fredericks of Stratford; and five cherished grandchildren. 

A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Vincent dePaul Church with burial in All Saints Cemetery. The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
