Arthur Edward Wright, 75, of Madison, died Oct. 27 at Apple Rehabilitation in Guilford. He was born Dec. 14, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to Arthur E. Wright and Loretta Schaefer Wright.

Arthur attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and The Art Student League in Manhattan. He was an avid painter in his younger years, and was also a ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in New York City. Arthur loved to play basketball and water ski. His favorite sports teams were the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He had a long career in international sales, which took him around the world to locations such as Belgium, France, Scotland, Germany, England, Sweden and Japan, where he embraced the various cultures and brought his experiences home to his friends and family.

Mr. Wright is survived by his daughter Heather Henrey; son-in-law Matthew Henrey; and his grandsons Quinn and Connor Henrey, of Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

A memorial service in honor of the life and memory of Arthur will be held Friday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Madison. Swan Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements. To sign the online guest book visit www.swanfuneralhomemadison.com.
