    Lillian Calistro Lehane, 90, North Haven

    Lillian Calistro Lehane, 90, of North Haven, wife of the late James M. Lehane, Jr., died peacefully Dec. 5 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Lillian was born Nov. 5, 1923 in New Haven to the late Domenic and Mary Desiderio Calistro. She worked for many years at Architectural Brick Company, then as a head manager for Universal Distributors.

    Lillian was a volunteer at the Hospital of St. Raphael campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She also chaired the North Haven Tri-Centennial Committee, was a past member of the North Haven Garden Club, past president of the New Haven Lioness Club, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for nearly 70 years, past treasurer of the New Haven Italian American Club, and a member of the New Haven Historical Society. 

    She is survived by her children James “Jamie” M. Lehane III, Donald J. Lehane and his wife Louise, and Tara A. Buccino; grandchildren James V. Buccino, and Caitlin A., Mark W., Laura L., and Jonathan J. Lehane; brothers Joseph Calistro and his wife Virginia and Eugene Calistro and his wife Patricia; and sister-in-law Helen Calistro. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Calistro. 

    Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday, Dec. 8 from 3-5 p.m. The North Haven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.northhavenfuneral.com
