Walter “Skip” Saczynski, Jr., 78, of Branford, died Dec. 31 at his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1945 in New Haven to the late Walter and Beulah “Billie” Saczynski.  He served in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Branford for many years before retiring. 

Skip is survived by his son Brian Saczynski and his wife Mary of Clinton.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, Jan. 6 from 4-7 p.m. at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
