Joseph J. Ferraro, 87, formerly of North Haven, husband of Janet C. Poudrier Ferraro, died Jan. 27 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. Joseph was born July 10, 1926 in Hamden to the late Gerald and Mary Bernardo Ferraro. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked for the former Marlin Firearms of North Haven for 33 years until his retirement. 

He is survived by his sons Joseph Ferraro, Jr., and his wife Carol, Richard Ferraro and his wife Janet, and Robert Ferraro and his wife Vivian. 

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
