Salvatore M. Colavolpe, 89, of North Haven, husband of the late Marie Concetta Longobardi Colavolpe, died Feb. 4 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. Salvatore was born Jan. 6, 1925 in New Haven to the late Nicola and Ciarina Cimino Colavolpe. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army Medical Corp during World War II. He worked as a clothing salesman for the former Anderson-Little Mens Clothing Store, and later he worked for the former Himmel Bros. until his retirement. 

He is survived by his daughters Ann and her husband James Cognetta of Wallingford, Geralyn and her husband Robert Hamel of North Haven, and Elisa and her husband Jay Mikolinski of Northford. 

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, followed by interment with full military honors in All Saints Cemetery.
