Blanche Chappell Gentile, 93, of North Branford, beloved wife of the late Joseph Gentile, died Feb. 18 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born June 22, 1920 in Pleasantville, Missouri to the late Roy and Jennie Tomasi Chappell, Sr. She worked as a machine operator for BIC Corporation before her retirement.

She is survived by her daughters Patricia and her husband John Mangini of North Branford, Carol Gambardella of New Haven, and Joanne and her husband Jim Binger of Toano, Virginia; and son Joseph Gentile and his wife Shelly of  Meriden. 

Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd., East Haven, Saturday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church.
