    Anthony Ridarelli, 77, Madison

    Anthony Ridarelli, 77, of Madison, Connecticut, died at his home on March 25, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Pelzer Ridarelli. Anthony was born in New Haven on April 22, 1936, son of the late Guido and Louise Esposito Ridarelli. He was the loving father of Meg Tamayo and her husband Ray and Laura Ridarelli. He was the brother of Joseph Ridarelli and his wife Enes, and of Tina Amendola and her late husband Andrew. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Tamayo. Mr. Ridarelli served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. He earned his A.S. at the University of New Haven, and worked for Sears and Roebuck from 1961 to 1999. Anthony was a Fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council 5780. He volunteered yearly for Habitat for Humanity - Raise the Roof, and attended St. Raphael’s Lung Life for many years. His greatest joys in life were his family, the Red Sox, travel, bird watching and model trains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 29 at 12 noon in St. Margaret’s RC Church, 24 Academy St., Madison. Military Honors will take place immediately following Mass at St. Margaret’s. Burial will take place privately at a later date. Friends may call on March 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
