    J. Patricia Schomburg, 80, North Haven

    J. Patricia Montano Schomburg, 80, of 165 Clintonville Rd., North Haven, died on April 7 at her daughter’s home in Guilford. Born in New Haven on October 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Vincent “Bull” and Amelia Fappiano Montano.

    Patricia worked for the North Haven school system; Wine and Spirits for 17 years; and the Country House Restaurant of East Haven for 13 years. She was a member of the Faith & Light Society, parishioner and former Eucharistic minister at St. Frances Cabrini Church, taught catechism for 35 years, and was a devoted Red Sox fan.

    She was the mother of Michele S. Lavoie and her husband William, and Kathleen E. and James B. Schomburg. She was the sister of Donald L. and his wife Judy Montano and the late Connie Montano  and her husband Stanley Slubowski; J. George Montano and his wife Bernice; and Vincent A. Montano and his wife Carmel. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Harry F. Schomburg and her long-time companion Silvio Miranda.www.northhavenfuneral.com for an online obituary.

    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church on April 10. Interment followed in Beaverdale Memorial Park. The North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
