Ronald Paul Harper, 76

East Haven

Ronald Paul Harper, 76, of East Haven, died May 22 at his home. He was the husband of the late Clara Puglia Harper. He was born on Feb. 5, 1938, in Bridgeport to Arthur and Nora Kennedy Harper.

He graduated from Hamden High School and served in the U.S. Army before going to work for Amtrak Railroad for 30 years. Ronald was an avid bocce player at the East Haven Rec. Center and Bella Vista courts.

He was the father of Laura (Stephen) Haddon, Michael (Michelle) Harper, and Ronald A. Harper; and brother of the late Arthur Harper, Janice Lettini, Kenneth Harper, and Eleanor McQuaid.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated

May 27 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment with full military honors followed in All Saints Cemetery. North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. For his online obituary, visit www.northhavenfuneral.com.
