    30th annual Tri-County Baseball School — July 8-12, 9 a.m.-noon at the Colchester Recreation Complex off Old Hebron Road. Directed by Bacon Academy coach Dave Shea and former pro John Shea, who specializes in pitching instruction. Staff and lecturers also include Roger Bidwell (UConn-Avery Point), Jim Penders (East Catholic High School) and Mike Turgeon (former pro). Cost: $120 (deposit of $50 required with each application).     7-on-7 Football Passing League — The Coach Beams Athletic Fund will be running a 7-on-7 football passing league on Tuesday nights beginning July 2 at New London High School, running for six weeks. The league will be divided up into a Men’s Division, High School Division and Youth Division (7th- and 8th-graders). It is a one-hand touch, non-contact league. Games will be officiated by Eastern Connecticut Board Football Officials. Each team will receive 15 T-shirts. Footballs must be provided by teams. Fee: $250 per team. They must be able to swim 300 yards continuously, consisting of both the front crawl and the breaststroke and retrieve a 10-pound brick from seven feet of water and return it 20 yards to the wall in under 1 minute, 40 seconds.
