    Local roundup: UConn field hockey remains unbeaten

    Storrs — The UConn field hockey team, ranked fourth in the country, stayed unbeaten with a 3-0 win over No. 6 Harvard on Sunday.

    Sophomore Abby Gooderham and freshmen Marie Auer and Sophie Hamilton scored for the Huskies (4-0). Maddy Wray, Kourtney Kennedy, Antonia Tiedtke and Svea Boker had assists and Cheyenne Sprecher made six saves for UConn.

    Women's soccer

    • Kess Elmore had a goal and an assist as UConn beat Boston University 3-1. Duda Santin and Regan Schiappa also scored goals and Melina Couzis had an assist for UConn (3-2-1).

    • Coast Guard lost to No. 14 Swarthmore 3-1 in the Bard tournament. Felicia Lombardi had a second-half goal and Sarah Schollenberger made six saves for Coast Guard (0-4). Brittany Weiderhold scored twice for Swarthmore (3-1). 

    Water polo

    • Connecticut College lost twice on Saturday at the Bruno Classic. The Camels lost to Cal Lutheran 16-6 and 10-5 to host Brown. Arturo Freitas scored three goals and Rahul Gill, Sam Guy and Mike Gertsik also scored against Cal Lutheran and Gill scored twice against Brown.
