    NORWICH POLICE NAB BURGLARY SUSPECT

Norwich - A Brooklyn man allegedly responsible for multiple burglaries and car break-ins was arrested by Norwich police Monday.

Police were able to find 19-year-old Kevin Ywarsky when he allegedly arranged a meeting with a person he knew who owed him money, police said. Ywarsky had robbed the person, taking his cell phone and shoes. When Ywarsky agreed to meet the person to exchange the possessions for the money he was owed, police were there waiting, said Sgt. Al Costa.

When police searched Ywarsky's car they found various stolen electronic items including cell phones and global positioning systems and metal pipes. Police are working to identify the owners of the stolen items and are investigating whether those items are from a string of burglaries from outside the city in the Killingly and Danielson area.

Ywarsky was charged with first-degree robbery, carrying a dangerous weapon, two counts of fourth-degree larceny, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and evading responsibility.

He was held on $25,000 bond and is due in court Sept. 10.
