Griswold man charged with DUI after crash

Griswold - A local man was arrested early Thursday morning after he crashed his car in Jewett City.

When state police responded to a one-car accident on Pleasant View Street just after 1:30 a.m., their investigation resulted in charging the driver, Jacob C. Williams, 28, of 47 Maple St., with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, making an improper turn and driving without a valid license.

Police also learned that Jacobs had left a 5-year-old child home alone. They added an additional charge of risk of injury or impairing the morals of a minor.
