Pedestrian hit by car, sustains serious injuries

Norwich – Police remain at the scene of a Harland Road crash that sent a pedestrian to Hartford Hospital by helicopter.

The driver in the 2:15 p.m. crash was uninjured, police said, but the pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit in the area of 236 Harland Road. The crash remains under investigation, and the identities of the victim and driver have yet to be released.
