Groton police investigate Walgreens robbery

Groton — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly after midnight today at the Walgreens pharmacy in the Lighthouse Shopping Center on Long Hill Road.

Police said a man wearing a ski mask and glasses entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded money. He then fled on foot.

No one was hurt during the incident, police said.

Police said the suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and gloves. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Groton Police Department at (860) 441-6712.
