Cause of Norwich woman's death pending further study

Norwich -- The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Monday said the cause and manner of death of the Norwich woman discovered in her car on Wednesday is pending further study.

The body of Anna M. Weady, 56, was found June 5 in a car parked on New London Turnpike in Norwich, a day after police issued a statewide Silver Alert asking for the public’s help in finding her. She had been missing since June 2.

Norwich police said there does not appear to be any criminal aspect to her death. A spokeswoman with medical examiner’s office said results of toxicology tests could take months.
