Norwich Police make arrest in December 2012 armed robbery

Norwich – A Montville man was arrested in court Tuesday morning for the December 2012 armed robbery of a Shell Food Mart in Norwich.

Shaun W. Cooley, 35, was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. Cooley allegedly entered the Shell Food Mart at 168 West Town St. on December 17, 2012, and displayed a handgun. He then demanded money from the clerk and fled on foot with $450, said police.

Cooley is currently in prison awaiting disposition of unrelated charges, said police. He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
