Police: Man threatened family member with knife
Groton — City police arrested Tuesday a local man who they say threatened a family member with a knife.
Isiah Reels, 27, of 34 Branford Ave., was charged with criminal violation of a family violence protective order, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, carrying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
Police said the investigation revealed that Reels, who appeared to be intoxicated, was involved in a domestic disturbance. He left the residence, returned with a knife and threatened a witness. Police said children were present at the time.
Reels is being held on a $75,000 bond, pending his arraignment today in New London Superior Court.
