Ledyard — Police are investigating a burglary in which a person gained entry into a Gales Ferry home by removing a window air-conditioning unit.

Police said the burglary occurred on Friar Tuck Drive while the resident was away from the home for a short period of time. A Groton police K-9 unit assisted in the investigation.
