Salem man arrested in connection with Ledyard theft

Ledyard — Police arrested a Salem man Wednesday who they say stole gaming equipment from a home on Town Farm Road.

Samuel H. Moreno, 19, of 201 Old Colchester Road was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Police said they applied for an arrest warrant after they determined during the course of an investigation that Moreno had pawned the stolen items at a local pawn shop.

On Wednesday, Montville police pulled Moreno over. Montville police said he gave them another name in an attempt to avoid being identified. Police were able to properly identify him, and Moreno was charged in Montville with criminal impersonation and other motor vehicle charges.

Ledyard police said the Town Farm Road theft remains under investigation.
