North Stonington — State police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at the  Cedar Park Inn and Whirlpool Suites located at 85 Norwich-Westerly Road.

Police said the report of the robbery came in at 2:55 a.m.  Police said the robber entered the lobby area and confronted the clerk. The suspect demanded cash and displayed a weapon. Police said the robber left with an undetermined amount of cash.

A K-9 track of the area did not find the suspect. No injuries were reported.  A description of the suspect was not available.
