Parking ban today in New London

New London - Based on storm predictions, a downtown parking ban will be in effect at 8 a.m. today, and winter parking rules will be in effect throughout the city.

The parking ban ensures that Public Works and police crews will be able to have the city streets clear. This will allow snow plows to clear the streets of snow as quickly as they can without delays, according to the mayor's office.

There is free parking for city residents at the Water Street Parking Garage.

Per winter parking regulations, cars need to be parked on the odd side of the street.
