Police arrest suspected drug dealer in Groton City
Groton — A motor vehicle stop on Friday led to the seizure of crack cocaine and the arrest of a Groton man on multiple drug-related charges, police said.
At 3:35 p.m., city police detectives observed what they described as suspicious activity on Poquonnock Road. Police stopped a vehicle near Rainville Avenue and arrested Albert C. Uzzle, 39. Police said Uzzle was in possession of half an ounce of crack and $550 cash.
Police charged Uzzle with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.
Free on a $25,000 bond, Uzzle is slated to appear Jan. 10 in New London Superior Court.
