Updated: North Stonington crash closes Route 201
North Stonington – A portion of Route 201 (Mystic Road) in North Stonington remained closed late Friday evening after a car crashed into a utility pole and three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
North Stonington fire and emergency medical personnel were called to the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m. They found a vehicle on its side and a utility pole that had been snapped. The crash occurred even as numerous accidents were being reported across the region because of the icy roads.
