New London police investigate robbery of elderly man

New London – City police are investigating the robbery of an elderly resident Monday evening.

The victim called police at 6:13 p.m. from a residence on Elm Street and reported that a man knocked on his door and offered to shovel his driveway for a price.

The suspect is a black male, 35 to 40 years old, with a medium to muscular build wearing a heavy brown coat and knit hat.
