    22-year-old dies in Plainfield crash

    Plainfield – A 22-year-old Plainfield man died Tuesday morning after his car traveled off the road and struck a snow bank and utility pole, police said.

    The crash occurred at 7:21 a.m. in the area of 387 Putnam Road in the Wauregan section of Plainfield. Police said Robert Perry Jr., 22, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Perry was driving south in a 2005 Saturn Ion when his car veered off the right side of the road and struck the utility pole.

    A section of the road was closed Tuesday while police investigated the crash and the utility pole was replaced.
