The Yantic Fire Engine Company No. 1 re-elected Frank Blanchard to another one-year-term as fire chief during the department’s annual meeting April 6.

Blanchard was among a host of officers re-elected, including: Deputy Chief Bernard Herz, Assistant Chief Paul O’Connell, Capt. Bob Allen, Fire Lt. Ray Henry, Rescue Capt. Robert Ladd, Treasurer Francis Claffey and Ron Stolz, as a member of the Personnel Committee.

Christopher Colonair was named rescue lieutenant and Charlie Frey was named chief engineer. The department responded to more than 624 calls for assistance in the last year.
