Motorcyclist seriously injured in East Lyme crash
East Lyme - An Oakdale man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car that was making a left turn on Route 161 at 9:25 p.m. Friday, state police at Troop E in Montville said.
David Quinones, 22, of 40 Pruell Place, Oakdale suffered head, neck and limb injuries in the crash. He was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. He was listed in guarded condition Saturday afternoon.
Police said Quinones was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Route 161 near Mayfield Terrace and was passing several vehicles on the left when he collided with the Toyota Sienna, driven by Theresa Dickinson, as Dickinson was turning left into a driveway.
Police said Quinones, who was not wearing protective gear, was thrown from the motorcycle. Police said Dickinson and two passengers in the Sienna were not injured.
The accident remains under investigation by state police at Troop E.
