Norwich man pleads guilty in Craigslist robbery

Twenty-seven-year-old Nathaniel Moore pleaded guilty Thursday in New London Superior Court to robbing a man at knifepoint in September after the man responded to a Craigslist advertisement.

Moore of Norwich will be sentenced on May 27 to 54 months in prison followed by 66 months of special parole. He has been held in lieu of $150,000 at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Institution since the Sept. 21, 2014, incident.

According to prosecutor David J. Smith, the victim reported that he had made contact with a woman, later identified as 21-year-old Briana Drayton of New London, who agreed to "exchange tools" with him, which Smith said was a euphemism for an illegal sexual assignation.

When the man arrived at a Mansfield Road, New London, address for the meeting, Moore held a knife to his throat and robbed him.

Drayton is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and prostitution and is due back in court on April 13.
