Norwich — The regional task force formed in response to the recent rash of heroin overdoses arrested two men Tuesday on drug-related charges.

Vaughn R. Malloy, 34, of 45 Cliff St., Norwich, was charged with sale of heroin and interfering with an officer. 

Luis G. Cotto, 30, of 23 Spring Garden Ave., Norwich, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell.

Police said they found Cotto with an unspecified amount of heroin, crack cocaine and a digital scale.

The Regional Community Enhancement Task Force is composed of detectives and officers from departments throughout southeastern Connecticut.
