Pellet shatters window of occupied New London school bus

New London — No one was injured Wednesday when someone shot out the rear window of an occupied school bus, police said Friday.

Police learned of the incident on New London High School property around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Police said someone shot the projectile, which appears to have come from a BB gun, from a moving vehicle.

Six people, including the driver, were on the bus at the time. No one reported injuries.

"There are no indicators that would lead the New London Police Department to believe that students, staff and NLHS are not safe," Capt. Brian Wright wrote in an email. "We believe this incident was an isolated event."

Police continue to investigate, but said they have identified everyone involved and will be making arrests.
