    Norwich police investigate shooting outside Pistol Pete’s bar

    Norwich ― Police are investigating the shooting of a man in the arm outside Pistol Pete’s Bar & Grill Wednesday night.

    Police said they do not believe the shooting was a random incident and said there is no public safety concern.

    Police said officers responded around 12:04 a.m. Thursday to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after receiving a report of a person with a gunshot wound to the arm.

    Police said the man told them he was shot outside the bar, which is located at 29 Stonington Road.

    Police said there was an altercation outside the bar and an unknown individual shot at multiple people and then fled.

    The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was released from the hospital, police said.
