New London ― A masked man who robbed the CVS at 817 Bank St. on Tuesday night made off with $401, police said.

At 8:13 p.m. on Tuesday, police said a heavyset Black man in his 30s or 40s entered the store and demanded the cashier open the register and give him the cash.

Police said while the suspect did not display or threaten use of a weapon, he implied his had a weapon. No injuries were reported.

Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect in a Facebook post but the man’s face is not visible. The suspect was wearing jeans, tan boots, a black sweatshirt with a MMA logo and a black mask. He also was wearing what appear to be tan boot gaiters, a fabric wore at the bottom of a pant leg to cover the top of boots.
