New London ― Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash on Sunday as 61-year-old Margaret Larsen of Waterford.

New London police said Larsen was involved in a single-vehicle accident at 2:52 p.m. Sunday in the vicinity of Colman and Vauxhall streets.

Larsen was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and later pronounced dead, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

A portion of Colman Street was closed during the investigation by members of an accident reconstruction team.
