Teen now wanted for murder in Norwich shooting
Norwich ― Police late Friday said they secured an arrest warrant for Stancovitch Fabre, the Norwich man wanted in a shooting on Wednesday that claimed the life of a 19-year-old.
Fabre, 19, previously was sought as a person of interest in the death of Camaury Norman--Clack. Police said they now have an active warrant charging Fabre with murder, criminal use of a firearm, possession of a pistol without a permit and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Fabre used to live at 19 Sandy Lane in Norwich but more recently might have been living at 6 E. Baltic St., police said in a statement. He may be operating an older model red, two-door Ford Mustang with gray bondo repairs in various places on the car.
Norman-Clack was shot in the chest Wednesday on Wednesday outside the Norwich Apartments complex on Sandy Lane. The 2022 Norwich Free Academy graduate was pronounced dead at the hospital later that day.
Police ask anyone with information about Fabre’s whereabouts to contact Norwich Police Detective Ken Wright at 860-886-5561, extension 3159 or the police department’s anonymous tip line at 860-886-5561, extension 4.
