Sound Police Incident Report Dec. 9 to 15
The Sound publishes a
Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Branford
Wednesday, Dec. 9
• A 32 year-old man of Main Street was charged with larceny in the third degree, credit card theft, and three counts of illegal use of credit card.
Thursday, Dec. 10
• A 22 year-old man of Fern Lane was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension, failure to have insurance, and four additional motor vehicle
violations.
• A 24 year-old Wallingford man was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 54 year-old New Haven man was charged with sexual assault in the second degree and sexual assault in the fourth degree.
Friday, Dec. 11
• A 27 year-old Westbrook man was charged with theft of a number plate or insert and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 45 year-old man of Jeffery Lane was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to have insurance.
Saturday, Dec. 12
• A 22 year-old man of Farm |River Road was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second
degree.
• A 36 year-old man of Beechwood Road was charged with larceny in the first degree and larceny in the third degree.
• A 36 year-old man of Mill Plain Road was charged with violation of probation.
Sunday, Dec. 13
• A 19 year-old East Haven man was charged with use and
possession of drug
paraphernalia.
Monday, Dec. 14
• A 20 year-old man of Montoya Circle was charged with assault in the third degree, unlawful restraint in the second degree, and interfering with an emergency call.
• An 18 year-old man and a
19 year-old man, both of New
Haven, were charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
Tuesday, Dec. 15
No arrests were made.
From Dec. 9 to 15, Branford
police also cited 18 motorists for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, six for failure to obey a stop sign, six for failure to obey a control signal, four for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, three for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and two for traveling unreasonably fast.
North Branford
Wednesday, Dec. 9
• A 41 year-old New Haven man was charged with using or
tampering with a motor vehicle without permission.
Thursday, Dec. 10
• A 26 year-old Branford woman was charged with larceny in the sixth degree, credit card theft, and illegal use of credit card.
• A 24 year-old Branford man was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and illegal use of credit card.
Friday, Dec. 11
• A 69 year-old man and a
48 year-old man of the same
Totoket Road address were charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute.
Saturday, Dec. 12
• A 49 year-old man of Pistapaug Road was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A 42 year-old New Haven man was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension, and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A 31 year-old New Haven man as arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
Sunday, Dec. 13
• A 45 year-old Guilford man was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive right.
• A 36 year-old man and a 28 year-old woman of the same Branford Road address were charged with disorderly conduct following a
domestic dispute.
Monday, Dec. 14 and
Tuesday, Dec. 15
No arrests were made.
From Dec. 9 to 15, North Branford police also cited six motorists for speeding, five for traveling unreasonably fast, four for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, four for failure to obey a stop sign, and two for using a hand-held cell phone while driving.
