    Chester Police Incident Report for April 25 and 26

    The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Monday, April 25Tuesday, April 26Senior correspondent Jason J.     • No arrests were made.

    • A 57 year-old man of Spring Street was issued a citation at 6:22 a.m. for unsafe backing after he backed the 2011 Mack truck he was operating on Main Street toward a 2001 Triumph Sprint operated by a 58 year-old man of Middlesex Avenue. The motor cycle driver was forced to dump the bike to avoid serious injury. No injuries were reported at the scene.

    • A 23 year-old man of a Pond Meadow Road apartment was arrested at 3:15 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $20,000 pond. The victim was a 24 year-old woman of a Main Street apartment.
