    Madison Police Incident Report for May 27

    The Source publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Madison and Killingworth. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Friday, May 27Senior correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.

    • A 42 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 11:34 p.m. and charged with larceny in the first degree, larceny in the fourth degree, robbery in the first degree, breach of peace, threatening in the second degree, and operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension. He was also arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. Occupation: Formerly construction/currently unemployed. The arrest resulted from an investigation into the robbery of People’s Bank on May 27. Additional arrestees included: a 44 year-old Old Saybrook woman was charged with hindering the prosecution, interfering with an officer, and larceny in the sixth degree; a 49 year-old Saybrook man was charged with hindering the prosecution and interfering with an officer; a juvenile was charged with interfering with an officer and was released to the custody of a parent.

    • A 22 year-old Meriden woman was arrested at 3:07 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension. Occupation: Dietarian.

    • A hold-up alarm/robbery was investigated at 752 Boston Post Road at 11:54 a.m.

    • Criminal mischief on private property was investigated at 286 Green Hill Road at 2:11 p.m.

    • A burglary was investigated at 190 Bradley Corners Road at 3:58 p.m.

    • A liquor law violation was investigated at 1333 Boston Post Road at 7:34 p.m.

    • A motor vehicle theft was investigated at 82 New Road at 9:29 p.m.
