    Old Saybrook Police Incident Report for Sept. 19 and 20

    The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

    Wednesday, Sept. 19

    • A 26 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 1:50 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to have insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 at Elm Street.

    • A 35 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:33 a.m. and charged with possession of narcotics and failure to turn in his driver’s license following suspension after a traffic stop on Elm Street at I-95. During this same traffic stop a

    33 year-old Derby man was issued a misdemeanor summons for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and improper number of tail lights.

    • A 19 year-old North Haven man, a 20 year-old Old Lyme man, and a 16 year-old were arrested at 10:11 p.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit assault in the third degree.

    • A 49 year-old man of Cedarwood Lane was issued a citation at 8:40 p.m. for allowing a nuisance dog.

    Thursday, Sept. 20

    • A 19 year-old man of Old Boston Post Road was arrested at 5:39 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to have insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 near Donnelly Road.

    • A 42 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 in front of Staples.
