    North Branford Police Incident Report for April 9 to 15

    The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

    Wednesday, April 9

    • A 23 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:27 a.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

    • A 19 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 12:31 a.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

    • A 19 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 1:57 a.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal manufacture or distribution of a controlled substance.

    • A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:40 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.

    • An 18 year-old man of Clintonville Road in Northford was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:52 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension for a prior DUI conviction and traveling unreasonably fast. He was operating a white 2007 Chevy Malibu.

    Thursday, April 10 - Tuesday, April 15

    No arrests were made.

     From April 9 to 15 North Branford police also issued eight citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, seven citations for traveling unreasonably fast, three citations for failure to obey a stop sign, and two citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. One citation was issued for each of the following: disobeying the signal of an officer (first offense), failure to have two headlamps, failure to display front plate, failure to obey a control signal, passing in a no passing zone, speeding, failure to drive right, and registration of a vehicle by a non-owner.
