    Westbrook Police Incident Report for April 12 and 13

    The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

    Saturday, April 12

    • A 43 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:11 p.m. and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 surety bond pending court arraignment.

    • At 10:54 a.m. police investigated a commercial burglary that occurred at Creative Cooking located at 1835 Boston Post Road between the hours of 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Approximately $600 in cash was stolen from the cash register. The case was still under investigation at press time.

    • A 54 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:15 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and speeding.

    Sunday, April 13

    • A 28 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 5:32 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane, and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
