Crash on Gold Star Bridge slows morning commute

New London — A two-car crash that happened about 7:30 a.m. slowed the morning commute on Interstate 95 south for about an hour Tuesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

DOT officials said the wreck happened between exits 86 and 84. The right lane was closed while crews worked to clear it.

Traffic was moving slowly as far back as Exit 87.
