Child hospitalized after Jeep hits stroller in New London parking lot

New London — Crews took a child to the hospital Friday after a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into a stroller in the parking lot of The Cake Lady Café.

According to police, the crash at the South Frontage Road shopping center was called in at 12:31 p.m. Police said the child sustained a facial laceration in the wreck, but the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Photos of the wreck show the stroller was only minorly damaged. No further information was immediately available.
